heart game - Kantera
I’m sorry. I tried— I tried, but I can’t keep going—
I don’t think I can do this alone, so— Please. Please—
I need help.

Re: THE TRUE HEART
"I absolutely do want to know a secret."
Re: THE TRUE HEART
Re: THE TRUE HEART
"I... thank you. Truly, I don't know what to say."
He squishes her a little more tightly, hoping to get his feelings across that way instead.
Re: THE TRUE HEART
She puts up with it for about five seconds before starting to squirm. Sorry, Kantera.
"And! I have a present for you, but after you see it you'll wake up? So if there was anything else you wanted to look at, do that first."
Re: THE TRUE HEART
"Hmmm... I would like to go look at your sketchbook a little more. But I'll be right back after that."
Re: THE TRUE HEART
"Okay! Let me know what you think of the last drawing, okay?"
Re: THE TRUE HEART
Back he goes to the workroom to take a look at those sketches.
Re: THE TRUE HEART
Most of the faces aren’t people he knows— a young man with a scarred face caught mid-howl, an older gentleman with tired eyes smiling, a motley group in a clearing raising their voices to the sky. However, there are more familiar faces, as well: Korone with her wings spread and someone else’s clawed hands carding through the feathers. Donnie, excitement written in his body language as he goes off about something, a bracelet around one wrist. There’s even one or two of himself— one where he’s drinking what is probably tea (considering the fancy teaset next to him), looking contented. The other is a sketch of him singing under a crescent moon.
Past the original sketch the book was left open to, there’s only one drawing.
Re: THE TRUE HEART
Aaand back he goes, nearly tripping over himself in an effort to rush back to Eve-
"Are you proposing??"
Re: THE TRUE HEART
"Yeah! I was— I started on the ring months ago, I was gonna— but then the mindfuck happened? And I wasn't going to propose when I barely felt like me, that'd be shitty. But— probably soon? After this? If things calm down for like five seconds."
Re: THE TRUE HEART
Absolutely delighted, here.
Re: THE TRUE HEART
Re: THE TRUE HEART
He's going to make their wedding cake for sure. He will not be stopped.
"I'm ready to see my present."
Re: THE TRUE HEART
She rolls back to her feet and waddles her way back to the kotatsu, popping briefly under it. When she reemerges, it's dragging a Cat-eared cloak in her mouth, which she wrestles back over to Kantera. Conspiratorially, she says:
"This is when I decided I really liked you."
Re: THE TRUE HEART
He puts it on, bracing himself for Emotions.
Re: THE TRUE HEART
Kantera, blank-eyed, pale-faced, covered in a cat-eared cloak. Your stomach sinking when you call his name and get no response, and— right. You sure as fuck can’t take any more of this, you doubt he’ll be any better once whatever he’s in the grip of releases him, so you give him a probably pointless warning and scoop his ass—
And promptly pay for it with a super-powered elbow directly to your nose. It hurts like a bitch, so of course you laugh. It’s a good sign that someone’s still in there, and it’s somehow more fight than you’d expected out of him; both things are fucking delightful, in your opinion.
—not enough not to dump him on his ass the second it’s safe, though. Sorry, Kantera; no amount of liking him will protect her ribs if he goes for them next.
—and then you wake.
