The boxes are filled with kitchen utensils, appliances, and ingredients, most of which are still brand-new in their packaging.

As you pick up the spatula, you’re filled with a razor-sharp awareness of all your faults, and a self-consciousness so strong you can hardly speak. But at the same time, you desperately want to— in that moment, you crave connection and want to reach out however you can.

Again, pain slices through your fingers— but when you look there’s still no sign of blood. Instead, you can hear Eve’s voice, faintly:

“…Maybe I shouldn’t bother. My mouth’s better for biting than talking. ”

Oof. He knows that's the mindfuck talking, but it still hurts to hear.

If he takes out the mirror shard he already had and tries to fit them together, does anything special happen?
